Singing last night. Done with Virgam Virtutis and on to 'Begone, My Fears' from Handel's Hercules - with a brief stop off in Vivaldi's 'Qui Sedes Ad Dexteram Patris'.

My teacher was really pleased with me - the Virgam Virtutis has some enormously long phrases which we carefully broke down into short breaths two weeks ago and which I sang in one go last night - she reckoned she was impressed and that's a real compliment.

As a 'reward' I now have 'Begone My Fears' - which if it were a dive would have a degree of difficulty in the 3's at least!

Just to give an idea of where I am, this is the Virgam Virtutis

... and this is 'Begone My Fears'

I also popped into recorders afterwards which was also pleasant.

Just before bed had a review of CP material with Mr W - I so often forget just how good we are -(Big-headed? Moi?) - and our music always gives me a lift.
